We had the big ultrasound today and from the brief glances the tech got it looks like we will be adding a boy to our family! Bryn is quite distressed as boys will now outnumber girls in our house (once the cats and dogs are included).
Most importantly, baby looks healthy and all the measurements are right on (by this time in my pregnancy with Bryn she was already measuring small) and my blood pressure is still fine. The perinatologist says everything looks great thus far and I am hoping for a continued healthy and uneventful pregnancy! I'll go back for another visit with the perinatologist and another ultrasound in a month - hopefully we'll get to say for sure then whether this little bugger is a boy or a girl. For now we're getting busy trying to think of some good boy names...

Congratulations! And tell Brynn that boys aren't so bad. I have two of them, plus a husband, so I'm badly outnumbered around here, even more so when you include the pets. You can also tell her that it's probably easier for a girl to gross a guy out with girly stuff than the reverse. I base that on my growing up with a slightly older brother. I hope everything continues to go well this time around.
Woo Hoo! Congratulations! And you could tell Bryn that maybe next time around it can be a girl! ;)
Glad to hear everything is going well. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and picking out the blue stuff! At least now days there are cuter boy things available than there were 13 years ago when I was shoppping for boy things!
Awwwwwwwwwww, yay!! After having 2 girls, I never thought I would know what to do with a little boy ... let me just say, there is something extra special about lil' boys. I hope Bryn feels that same sweet connection to her baby brother that my girls do.
Ooh, what wonderful news! Hope he (or she!) is just a healthy, happy baby :)
Hooray for (maybe) a boy! LOL!
Do you have boy names in mind to narrow down? Or are you starting from scratch?
Dawn-
We kind of have a short list but are still looking. Boy names are HARD to come up with (I think, anyway). If you have any suggestions, please feel free to suggest away!
Wow...a boy, huh? (At least maybe so.) Is Aaron on Cloud 9 with the news? You know Annie always wanted a sister, but frankly, I think she'd have had even harder adjustment problems with a girl than she did with Gray.
Just remember to "keep him covered" during diaper changes. I can't tell you how many times I "got sprayed" until I realized moving quickly wasn't fast enough...I had to cover them up! LOL
Oh yay! My daughter just had a boy and my son and DIL are hoping to find out next month what their new one will be.
Some of my personal favorites are: Jack. Aaron. Ethan. Evan. Ryan. All pretty traditional, but they just aren't as common anymore, now that so many people lean toward trendier names!
