Window picture

So all that rambling about the dining room window and I didn't get the picture uploaded! O.K., so now you can vote!

P.S. For those that asked, the pic I am in on Pioneer Woman's blog is the one with her daughter and one person in the distant background in the store. My cousins daughter is the redhead in front of the distorting mirror on Navy Pier.

So pretty!!! Ya know, I like your idea much better. Those half window curtain thingers, LOL, have a country feel to them, in my opinion. The outside of your house isn't country and I think since that's a front window, it may throw things off from the outside looking in.

Don't ask me...I'm way too casual to have opinions of any worth on such things as "dining rooms"...LOL. But I just had to tell you again just how gorgeous your house is! Oh Kara, I just love it! You must be having sooooo much fun about now, huh?

What a beautiful home! You must be thrilled! Leaving the top windows uncovered will let in much natural light, which is always cheery, but it does make it hot too! You'll figure it out. You practically can't go wrong with a room that beautiful!

What a gorgeous space! I'm not a decorator at all, so I can't help with the curtain dilemma. My main thing is comfort and practicality. If the window faces west, where I live, we'd have to have it covered because of the heat from the afternoon sun. I would suggest giving it a little time and getting settled, no rush, and then see how much light and heat and sunlight come through your windows. :)

Oh it's so pretty! You're gonna have a great time. I sorta liked your idea about the long drapes out of dupioni silk (love that fabric) with sheers....still can get light when opened but if it gets hot you've got an option to close it off.
