Moving right along

We are definitely in house mode now...as soon as Aaron gets his written offer we are going to make an offer on a house and try to get moved quickly. The house we are interested in has been for sale for quite a while and we are hoping that the builder is as anxious to sell as we are to buy. We have been thinking about furniture and window treatments and all the other stuff there is to spend money on...unfortunately our garage sale proceeds aren't going to cover all the new stuff we would like! We'll just be so happy to not be renting we'd probably be fine sitting on the floor with open windows for quite a while!

We planned to go to see fireworks tonight for the 4th, but Bryn is going to spend the night with a friend and Aaron and I have not decided yet what we are going to do. We may just hang out and relax and listen to the neighbor kids shoot off fireworks (they have been going for 3 days and nights now!). We'll just see how it goes, I guess!

Ahhh...enjoy a relaxing night with just the two of you! Sounds heavenly!
Despite the neighborhood fireworks. Our next door neighbor has been at it for almost 2 weeks now...at all hours. Literally at 4:20 one morning. And it's not like he's just a young kid having fun...the guy's 30 some years old and living with his mom. Pathetic.
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying your holiday!

Getting another house can be very exciting! Do you guys not have to move very far away with the job?

Oh, that's great, you've already found a house you're interested in! I hope it all works out. I bet it will, especially if it's been for sale for a bit.

Hope you had a wonderful 4th! :)

We've been in our house almost as long as we've been married (22 years), and the first three or so years were without curtains (I don't do "window treatments," having sent a clerk into spasms of laughter once when I mis-pronounced "valance"). It helps that we live on a 2-acre lot in the woods and have no close neighbors. Of course, our heating bill did go down when we eventually got blinds and curtains. Good luck! I hope they take your offer so we can hear all about the new digs.

How exciting! I hope everything goes through with no complications! We didn't have curtains for a long time either. And now we are back to blankets on the bedroom windows - lol! But it's because we got new windows and hubby hasn't trimmed them out yet, so I can't even hang the blinds! Oh well - hopefully soon.
