Post 4th post!

We had a busy July 4th holiday...

We had parties to go to on the 3rd and the 4th and got our fill of fireworks at both. Bryn really got into them this year and even convinced Aaron to go buy some! The party on the 4th was a block party so we got to hang out with some of our neighbors and get to know them a little better.

Aaron's parents came in the night of the 4th and we put them to work bright and early the next morning. The time has finally come for us to get our landscaping in front done and they were the lucky recruits for the project. I think there was a record set for the number of showers taken in our house this weekend since it was a hot and dirty couple of days! But we got a lot of work done...I never thought I would think an empty flower bed full of dirt looked so great, but after all the hard work it took to dig it out, till it up and edge it, we thought it was fantastic! We did get a few plants in but still have a long way to go. One of the flower beds in front is 25 X 15 feet (that one was here when we moved in so I am not responsible for the crazy huge size of it!). The project will continue over the next couple of weeks and I will definitely post before and after pictures when we are done!

Bryn, Grant and I are headed out to Denver on Wednesday for Nicole's baby shower...it occurred to me yesterday that I may need to be panicking a bit about planning. Fortunately Cheryl isn't panicking either and we decided we will have time to work on the menu and other stuff once we get there.

Off to bed...I am behind on my sleep and don't see a way to get a whole lot over the next week or so - I better get some now!

Oh my goodness, girl! I can't believe you've got to head back out west again already! How long of a drive is that anyway? Anyway, I hope you all have fun!
