Back to normal

Things are pretty much back to normal around here - it was quite a long recovery after the holidays! We had a nice long weekend filled with playing Mario Kart, a visit from the in-laws, church meetings and shopping for some new trapping and hunting gear for Aaron.

In an attempt not to drive myself into a political ranting frenzy, I have left the TV off today and plan to watch DVR'd shows tonight. I know Obama's inauguration is a historical event that our kids and grandkids will be reading about someday, but seriously, 3 days of coverage? And the cost of the whole thing just makes me sick to my stomach...what a way to really put those tax dollars to work for the American people - especially during this really prosperous economic time when we the taxpayers are expected to bailout every loser CEO and their dog...

O.K. Enough of that.

I have been reading like a crazy woman for Annie's What's in a Name 2 reading challenge. I need to post some reviews but first have to decide if "hunger", "addict" or "virgin" can be considered medical conditions. I need a book with a medical condition in the title, but am not sure if any of those qualify.

Lots of reading for you, eh? And you say you got Confessions for Christmas? Take your time with it - let God speak His love to you!

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal for you guys. I do normal MUCH better than hectic and crazy! :)

We have Mario Kart and love it, such a fun game, LOL!

I signed up for Annie's reading challenge again too. I had the hardest time with two of the categories, including medical condition. I'm going to count the book I just finished, it's called Life Support. It might not be a medical condition, but it's a medical term and the closest I could come up with! I'm trying to choose books that I have here to read, in my TBR pile, so I can get more of those read. That was the best I could come up with, hope you find one that comes close and works for you! :)

Happy Reading!

Glad your beginning to feel back to normal! Same for me - it's been harder for me this year for some reason! Just had a difficult time getting into the swing of things again...but almost there!

My TV hasn't been off...but it's been on kids shows all day. I have some similar thoughts as you about it all. Anyway...

Hope to "see" you around more now!
