Since I have taken so long to post pictures, these are now outdated! Better than nothing, right!?!?

Book Review - What's in a Name Challenge
I keep changing my slections for the different categories for the What's in a Name Challenge, but I am certainly happy with the books I have been reading!
My "weather" book is Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson. I enjoyed this book, but if the other people at the book talk about this book that I attended are any indication, I don't have much company in that opinion.
This book is set in the Pacific Northwest and focuses on the lives of a number of individuals affected by the death of a local fisherman. The book begins with the trial of a local Japanese man accused of the crime and flashes back in time to events involving the main characters. Prejudice is a prevalent theme as the characters' actions and opinions are colored by WWII and the experiences and actions of Japanese Americans and European Americans during that time.
I had a hard time getting into the book in the beginning, but was enthralled by the characters as the book went on. Others at the book discussion found the narrator to be an unsympathetic and stunted character and didn't enjoy the book. Although it wasn't my favorite book ever, I would recommend it and found it to be a good combination of mystery and history.

Can't catch up!
I can't seem to get my act together, but we are still here! Just been busy with company in town, trying to plan our October trip to Disney World and getting enough sleep to be able to function like a semi-human!
I'll be back soon!

Still here!
I am still here...just woefully behind on blogging and reading blogs!
We are finally all well and Grant is a great baby - he still sleeps a lot and when he is awake he just hangs out. He has gotten a little fussier and a little spittier - I am thinking he may have reflux like his sister. I'm going to give it another week or so and see how it goes before I call the doc.
Bryn and I went out to dinner last night and went shopping for some summer clothes for her. She is in desperate need of some new threads - her jeans are turning into capris!
We survived tax day. It is always so depressing to have to pay the IRS. And I am currently watching the Democratic Presidential debate and they are both talking about raising taxes even more - sigh. I guess the bright side is that I really feel fortunate to live in the U.S. and there is no other country I would rather live in. But darn it, it does pain me to have all of that money taken out of our paychecks and then have to pay more!
I plan to get all of the pictures we have taken of Grant organized and on one computer so I can get them printed before I go scrapbooking next Friday...when that happens I will be sure to post some!

On our own
Dad and Cheryl left yesterday so we are on our own. Fortunately we are past the worst of our stomach crud so now we just have to figure out how to readjust to life with a baby. So far Grant is still a pretty quiet and sleepy baby so it is about as easy as it gets to deal with diapers, extra laundry and middle of the night feedings. Which is still taking some adjustment on our part!
We are still enjoying meals coming every other night from friends and it is nice to not have to cook. Now if I can just get the house straightened and cleaned, some thank you notes written and get rid of the last of this nausea I can get over my grumpies (I know my husband would be extremely grateful for an attitude adjustment on my part!).

Sick
We are a bunch of sickos here - literally. Aaron and I both have a stomach bug and have been laid up and miserable all day. Aaron is worse off than I am, but it is still no fun. Especially since I can't take anything due to the breastfeeding. Fortunately Cheryl still feels good so we have one fully functional adult around!
Not much else new here. Grant lost a little bit of weight since we left the hospital so we'll go back next week to have him weighed and have the little chest/neck divot he has rechecked. He has a little dimple right up near his neck which is hopefully just a little skin defect. The other possibility is a tract from the thyroid which will hopefully be ruled out once the newborn screening results are back. My blood pressure is still up, but so far I don't have any other symptoms, so hopefully it will just begin to creep down on its own.
Bryn is still taking the adjustment well - she hardly seems to really notice much has changed. Of course that will probably be a different story once there are no more grandparents around!
Still no new pics - I am a bum! I'll use the stomach ailment as my excuse for today!
